Katy Freeway Sunset #2 Photo

Photographer’s Note

I posted an image yesterday of the same stretch of Interstate 10, heading away from Houston toward the suburb of Katy, TX. Here's a link to that picture.

This image was captured 21 shots after yesterday's posting, but still within the same minute. I kept snapping shots as fast as the servo would let me, angling upward as I approached overpasses. This was one of the results.

Again, I did very little post-processing. I adjusted the levels in Photoshop, then sharpened the image and resized it before uploading.

Interesting urban compo against one of natures best - an interesting and arresting image Michael! Although the sky is less intense in this one I like the subleties of this shot and the silhouettes work better.

Very nice silhouettes and amazing colours. The black works very well against that sky. You were right to shoot so many pics. An opportunity like this doesn't come very often.

If I was driving by this intersection, I am sure I'd ignore the scene because your photo may cause me an accident: It's too good to move my eyes away. If you tell me there is no cop around, I would make a complete stop and continue to enjoy ... the picture.

Excellent graphic image with a good background sky. If you did this on the move you have done well to keep the sharpness on the black outline.

Gosto muito desse enquadramento com a diagonal forte dando mais enfase e dinamismo a imagem. As cores e texturas são belas e naturais.

The sky colours are awesome and the silouhette of the the freeway lends the photo a very graphical quality which I am always very fond of (see workshop). Marc
