Photographer’s Note
I found this fabulous lake for taking photos. You can pick wild blueberries and eat them as well as enjoy the fantastic scenery. People come from all over the world to take pictures here at Painted Lake. It is a two-hour drive from Vancouver (just across the American/Canadian border). Early September is the best time to take pictures as the colour of the leaves are at their best.

Beautiful capture! Lucky that you caught the powdery mountain with minimal mist. The red soil adds superb contrast to the green-dominant landscape.

Wow , is this real? Indeed a great photo opportunity. The trees are a little on the dark side, it's rather difficult to get the exposure right here. But it's a great shot.

Just like Willem said, my first impression was "Wow , is this real?".
So well composed and rather unusual colour scala. It looks just like seen through Bob Ross'eyes. ;o)
I would have liked to see a larger format tough...

On dirait une peinture Chinoise sur papier; il suffit d'écrire dessus des idéogrammes et on sera transporté en Asie.
We would say a Chinese painting on paper; while adding ideograms and we will be transported to Asia.

Great shot! I love the narrow format which emphasizes the height of the mountains, and the contrast between the red foreground and the white of the snow on the mountains. Maybe a little too soft in the lower part of this picture.
