Many people go to Maine for vacation in summer time. During summer season, it is hard to find a local person to ask for directions. The signs like in this picture are posted in almost all important intersections in Maine, although I doubt how many tourists, if any, can find their way by reading those signs. I took this picture at an intersection near Kennebunk Port, Maine. There is no more room for one more sign on this pole.
The background house with its wooden single styled side is popular in northeastern of U.S.
Hope this picture can make you smile.

I love the colour in this image, it has a feel of a William Eggleston photo. The lines on the house behind emphasise those on the crazy signpost. Maybe if you had moved slightly to your left, you could have seen the whole window beind and added more vertical lines? But lovely nonetheless.

This one certainly did make me smile. Interesting that sign posts are supposed to be useful but can't see how this one could be. The house and stairs in the background give a good perspective of the height and how ridiculous this sign post really is.

I would say: "Choice enough" This is really a picture worth. Do you like it this way too?

Wow, orginal shot. You should try that more often. I also try to be orginal, which is sometimes hard, cause all the TE-members togheter have so many ideas for photos.
But this is really nice. Very confusing yes. I like this very much. Did you finally decide which way you had to go?

Very nice daily life picture. The signs are surely confusing. I guess the locals got really tired answering tourists questions and decided to put up signs to all the places :) You could have also tried a different POV to try and get better coverage of the pole.

This could be a postcard for tourists like "Look at all the things to do in Kennebunk". I like it in its simplicity. Slight blue color cast, but not that disturbing as it lends a feeling to the setting.

Intesting shot to the signs. people asked themselves for where to go. She had never seen a post with so many signs.
Thanks for share.
