Photographer’s Note

While out teaching my older two boys how to use an incidental light meter with their film cameras, I came past an old Autocar Diesel tractor that had all sorts of interesting shapes, colors and textures.

It was a great subject for the kids, and I found it interesting too. I found this appropriate for TE as it was accross the street from a steel mill that is being torn down.

The mill was built durring WWII, and ceased operations in 2002. I'm told it was the only operational steel mill in the western United States. I'm sure as the mill comes down, there will be many interesting items to photograph.
