I took the ferry to Bainbridge Island on this partly cloudy day in Seattle. From The Space Needle on the left side down to the Pike Place Fish Market and the Ferris Wheel on the right, Seattle is a vibrant city. They are known for their seafood, coffee (original Starbucks @ Pike Place Market), Mount Rainier, Boeing, and tech companies. They are also known for their rainy climate. I saw a t-shirt that said "The Seattle Rain Festival January 1 - December 31" :)

Fine panoramic water front view of Seattle's crowded hi rises.
And one of the more fun big metros to explore, even during the Rain Festival.
I have family in a Seattle suburb and they informed me it did not rain for one week and the news was announcing it as a 'drought'.
I have also heard the native's redish skin is not from sunlight but actually rust.....
Thanks for sharing,

Hi Anna Maria
First of all, welcome on TE
Nice long cityscape (stitched images?) taken from a boat or far island with the many skyscrappers.

I was drawn t your gallery by your recent post of the forest, but when I looked and saw this, I had to comment on this first. A beautiful cityscape showing the skyline of seattle in a way that I have never seen before. It is great to see it as well, speaking as a European, it seems Seattle is not a city we hear about as much as we used to, but yet such an impressive and important city at the same time. I really love how the needle pokes up in its own low rise area, I have never quite known where this is in position to the towers.the rainy sky has given you a perfect backdrop, nice active sky with blue, while the light is falling perfectly to light up the faces of all the buildings. Really cool shot, thanks for sharing.
