Well, I couldn’t very well go down to The Strip and not take a picture or two of the casinos, even if I’ve seen them a million times before, it’s almost compulsory.
This of course is Caesars Palace, a picture taken with the 3-in-1 concept in mind again…an American city, a Roman themed hotel, and a replica of the Winged Victory from the Louvre in Paris, France.
Another reason for choosing this particular hotel/casino was the fact it was featured in the movie The Hangover. :) Here’s the URL if you’d like to watch a quick clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsFZFHzf2d8
With almost 4,000 rooms spread over six towers, it’s one of the most impressive and classic hotels in the city.
Love it or leave it, if you have the chance, Las Vegas is just one of those places you need to see to believe.
Thanks for stopping by.

Good night, Jason!
Just impressive architecture! If you have got money you can get copies of an every palace of the world ;)
And the Eiffel Tower, no doubt.
Well, I have never been in Las Vegas before :((
May be next time.
I think, it is just our age ;) I also can't fine one document in my appt. ;))
Don't worry, you will find it, I sure.

Amazing view, splendid composition 3-in-1, or maybe more in 1. Nike looks rather funny in this surroundings. Is it Bellaggio on the left? Have you also photops of Gehry's building?

mi piace molto questa inquadratura, la statua apre splendidamente la foto, mentre la
fontana da il giusto movimento in mezzo a questi enormi palazzi.

The first visit to Caesar's Palace leaves an impression on you, and despite the fact that more opulent, extravagant and a dare I say, tad "over the top" places have sprung up around it, for me it is the definitive hotel/casino and embodies the spirit of LV for me.
I have to admit I am not a big lover of Vegas - give me the non man-made beauties that surround this City any time, but that aside it is an experience and this superbly taken shot gives you such a great idea of what man can achieve in the desert, with a bit of imagination, a stonking big dam and lots of readies, that’s cash to you.
Excellent shot big guy. Hope you did not spend too much money sampling the delights of this place………….. ;-)
Have a great weekend - BeeDee

Fine outlines of the impressive complex in vegas, Jason.
Bright daylight brought wonderful colors on photo, with good perspective taken - all culminate superbly: the statue in FG, the fountain with juxtapositioned jets, and teh surrounding green's.
Excelent clarity, well done my friend,

J'ai bien hâte de visiter Las Vegas un jour quoique je sois beaucoup plus intéressé à voir les déserts autour. Ils sont très photogéniques.Quelle belle fontaine , on se croirait presque en Italie, la patine de l'âge en moins.

Fine view of Caesar's, with Winged Victory in the foreground, then fountains, and the backdrop of the hotel/casino. My favorite replica is the Trevi Fountain.
And when staying in Vegas, I often pick the Luxor for its unique Egyptian décor especially around the pool, and the pyramid hotel.
Thanks for sharing,

Said in the voice of a 5 year old.....I WANNA GO!!!!!!
Seriously, this city is a marvel. Although many say its not pleasant, and you should only see it once, the green eyed monster raises his head when I read you have the chance to see these places so often. To my Irish eyes which are accustomed to things being a little smaller, all these numbers...HOW many rooms? WHAT did they copy? INDOOR gondolas? It all seems so wonderfully ostentatious, and that is something I would so much love the chance to photograph.
This here looks like a classical roman city that you have captured, such amazing buildings. You create a perfect sense of depth with the winged statue leading deeper into the photo, and then behind all those towers. All those rooms! What goes on in all those rooms! I guess that's why they say What Happens in Vegas :)
Beautiful shot, you have presented the city of sun as a vision straight from an image of what lies beyond the pearly gates. Nicely done!
Have a wonderful weekend, watch out for those performing tigers!

I was a bit quiet during last few days (too much golfing). Excellent photo from famous LV. LV is an interesting city, but there are beautiful golf courses around. I was last time there in December 2003, not hot but excellent.
I like the view over the water fountain to hotel and casino buildings in background. All in very good light and clarity.
Very well done.
Wish you a nice weekend.

a rich and dynamic composition with great depth and an interesting arrangement as the view starts with the statue and opens up in the background to include the iconic, large buildings. This must be part of the greek contribution to the Las Vegas cityscape:) some (awkward) touches in the architecture and the famous statue of Nike (Victory). You captured the light in a wonderful way and managed the whites and the fountain's movement superbly. In spite of the challenging brightness of the sunshine, the colours are lovely, clear and calm. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

If there is a city in the world where excess and extravagance are the norm, it is definitely Las Vegas. This is a nicely composed and balanced image with a good low vantage point showing those buildings in their pure outrageousness. The Victory of Samothrace is a nice focal point, and the successive fountains add a good sense of depth to this perspective. The light is bright, warm and pleasant and enhances the vibrancy of the colours. Very nicely done.

There is nothing like the Strip, and Caesar's Palace is one of the last originals left standing. It really is the essence of Las Vegas. My favorite thing is the ceiling indoors painted to look like the outdoors, and the animatronic statues in the fountains. This is a nice shot that gives some of the feeling of over-the-topness that dominates in Vegas. Thanks.

I do not believe I have seen Caesar's Palace from this angle. I like your theme and how you have expressed it.
jemaflor (98743) 2014-06-10 23:23
Well taken and presented with this wide angle effect, nice light capture and light capture, well composed with the statue in the Fg.

you and I as North American's seem to appreciate Las Vegas much more than Europeans.
and its easy to understand why.
like I said, its more of a US, Canada thing. and thats ok with me because i love Vegas.
In fact, I was just checking online today for flights/hotels in July. SO cheap, guess because of the heat.
I take it we've both stood at this fountain a number of times, its a great view isn't it. The Bellagio on the left is pretty sweet too.
How's the new large Ferris Wheel looking? Did you go on it?
this photo brings back alot of memories, some intoxicated ones too :)
and didn't you just love the movie hangover!! awesome!
fine pic, really enjoy it.

When man have a beautiful motif and a great light in the knowledge of the photographing, it is not difficult to make a perfect photo.
With the technique of a man like you has an eye to assess how to make a good composition.
Wonderful place, elegant monument and fountain in the front and lovely architecture in the back.
