Actually this guy tried to take-off several times but failed. When I left he was still trying.
Paragliding is the recreational and competitive adventure sport of flying paragliders: lightweight, free-flying, foot-launched glider aircraft with no rigid primary structure. The pilot sits in a harness suspended below a fabric wing consisting of a large number of interconnected and baffled cells. Wing shape is maintained by its suspension lines, the pressure of air entering vents in the front of the wing and the aerodynamic forces of the air flowing over the outside. Despite not using an engine, paraglider flights can last many hours and cover many hundreds of kilometres, though flights of 1–2 hours and covering some tens of kilometres are more the norm. By skilful exploitation of sources of lift the pilot may gain height, often climbing to altitudes of a few thousand metres. (From Wikipedia)

this is absolutely stunning and beautiful image!
I like the way you composed it-there is great balance between the land and the sea.Other thing is the strong color contrast between these two parts of the image and finally you chose perfect timing to immortalize the scene,so the paraglider is placed very well in the shot.
Have a nice day

my uncle is massive fan of this sport but I think he is more successful than the guy on the photo :-) It is funny however to see his efforts even if they do not end up with required result. Nice scene and well composed with properly saturated colors.
Thanks for sharing

Perhaps the Torrey Pines Bluff area?
Attractive launch place, pacific below and coastal mountains in the distant horizon.

The red stripes on the para-sail contrast superbly against the blue sky. Good sharpness and saturation. I like the high pov and the people add scale and animate the scene. A good decisive moment before touchdown! Excellent density levels and well framed and composed. Tfs!

An interesting note and a very good picture of this person, ready for take off. Looks like perfect conditions here, a strong wind and beautiful sunshine. I guess this flight was very pleasant.

My neighbour is a paraglider but I would never as duo passenger want to fly along, but I am a little bit to heavy too.
Sharpness and clarity are pleasant to look at.
Also these picture is nice, you choose a very well angle, this gives perspective and depth.
Excellent composition, nice presentation too..

this photo is bringing up alot of emotions for me personally.
My girlfriend is wanting to go Paragliding on her B-Day next month and wants/expects me to do the same...and i'm not so sure I want to do it :)
As for the photo itself i really enjoy the wide open space and hot it feels so large inside the small frame.
looking forward to the photo you mentioned, i thinking its a P-51 Mustang?
