Utah's Valley of the Gods has many gigantic rock formations stimulating the imagination. I see in this image the Egyptian sky god 'Horus', who was depicted as a falcon. Horus's right eye was associated with the sun god 'Ra', which coincidentally my name Ray is derived from. The eye of Horus symbolizes the 'teardrop' below the eye.
In Egyptian mythology, after the death of Osiris, Horus and Seth fought for the throne, and Seth gouged out Horus's left eye. The god Hathor restored the eye, and Horus offered it to his father Osiris, in hope of restoring his life. The eye of Horus has come to mean sacrifice, healing, restoration, and protection.
For scale in this photo note the green specks are trees measuring 30 to 50 feet in height.

Hola Ray, sssssssssso with a name conected with RA?
Years ago, before traveling to Egypt , I learn a bit of
hieroglyphs, just to read them
Not easy, must interpret them, once in the Met of NY, I write down some, so with calm read them
A woman saw me doing it, asked me if I could read tthem, what they said, I answer and some time before I noticed a group of people following me and my explanations, I told them I was not a guide, they asked to continue the "Walking tour"
Happy end, some of the group invited me to have lunch at the expensive restaurant, which I did
Good post about this quite desert place with great color contrast,

From this different perspective, it looks a men made statue, Ray, but we know this is merely the nature that created such a marvelous mounted rocks.
The stunning red/brown tone is immaculately shown, fine sharp details under the favorable daylight.

Wow, this is some chunk of rock, that dwarfs the trees below. The colours are lovely and rich, with superbly detailed texture. I love the contrast between the earthy tones and the cool blue sky. Great job,
Have a lovely weekend
