The 1955 Chevrolet (sometimes referred to as '55 Chevy) is an automobile made by the General Motors division Chevrolet in 1955. It was available in three models; the 150, 210, and Bel Air.
The '55 Chevy was a turning point for the manufacturer, as the first successful Chevrolet with an optional V8 engine. Though Chevrolet had produced an earlier car with a V-8, the 1918 Chevrolet Series D using a 55 horse power, 288 cubic inch V-8, it had remained in production for only a year; the 55's looks, power and engineering made it a critical success. Having worked many, many moons for the California Dept of Transportation, I am genetically connected to the automobile; it is part of my DNA.
Your tribute image to the 55 Chevy is attractive, including the background architecture.
Though, I am perplexed by the cylinder metal unit on the front grill?
Thanks for sharing,

Obviously, this one has been modified in some way. The view allows for good details and the green color makes a nice contrast against the background architecture.

Enriched by stronger springs set, the green Chevy is an eyes catcher, Eleu.
Frankly, it is hard to recognize the exact model, not sure saw one alike before.
Superbly taken its side view, contrast to the mighty edifice behind, which by itself looks intriguing, photography-wise.

Fun to see such heavily modified Chevy. Interesting framing with the shot taken under that hood. And background seems to be one of those borrowed style Las Vegas casinos.

A very attractive picture! I remember this model quite well, I believe it was the first year they introduced the panorama windscreen. But the cars I remember looked more "ordinary". Very fine colours and interesting note.

The mighty green Chevy looks catchy and looking good. Love the angle on this quite a beautiful car of the bygone era, they don't make them like this anymore and this was when everything was about looking good, as there was little regard for aerodynamics. Nice feel with good clarity, thks for sharing a great shot of a classic, Congrats
