Photographer's Note

A hazy and lazy late afternoon on the Severn River just a short distance from downtown Annapolis shows the natural side of the area well. Annapolis is a very small city, among the smallest state capitals, and the region - just off the Chesapeake Bay - is better known for its wildlife and especially its fishing. Here, two men paddle themselves out into the open water, the only sign of civilization the traffic bridge ahead of them.
