Fine view of the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains in the Bishop area. In your top view, are still snow remains which are glaciers in some areas of these mountains. And at the bottom the flat lands called the Owens Valley with a patch of green farm land.
The Spanish named these mountains, meaning "Great Snowy Mountains". And in the 18th century thought they were too immense for other Europeans from the eastern U.S. to cross into California. But 1849 brought 'gold fever' and stubborn easterners conquered the Sierras.

A terrific photo of this rugged landscape. Those mountains look so immense compared to the farm in the foreground.
No wonder the Europeans thought that they could not cross them.

there's so much more to the state of California than just movie stars :)
great shot here, goes to show you dont' need a truly clear sky to produce a fine photo.
large expanse, depth, beautiful landscapes...nice shot

the majesty of these mountains has been shown very well in your photo. The bit of green meadow with tiny trees gives us the sense of scale and also adds some color. The bright blue sky with some pretty clouds finishes off the image and sets some contrast to the greyish mountains.
Very nice colors, contrast and properly given sharpness
Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

I like very much the point of view looking across the valley through the gap toward the massive background peak. I like the low light and understated tones. The sky is quite delightful.

Good photo spot showing V-shaped opening between mountains and another mountain further background. Amazing to see colour difference between that green field and landscape in natural state.

A breath taking landscape with a wider view giving us the taste of height and vast scale at the same time the green patch leads deeper as anchor point and colour breaker. A shot depicting the formation in excellent clarity and the magnificence of steep rock formation, Immense textures throughout with wonderful touch of clouds formation Stunning capture, worthy an effort.

Proud and spectacular scenery with this succession of mountains, culminating in those high peaks, even with traces of snow, such a nice contrast green patch, which contrasts with the arid environment.
The color is beautiful, in this beautiful day, perfect lighting and good sharpness, allow us to recreate the pretty picture.
Have a nice Sunday afternoon.
All the best.

The tiny trees at fg left give an indication of scale against the massive bg mountains. Very good colour, sharpness and saturation. I like the blue shadowed areas of the rocky peaks contrasting against the yellow green grass of the pasture at left. Tfs!
