This one goes out to all of the “gear heads” in TE land. It’s not the photo I had planned to upload today, but with Craig’s (macjake) most recent picture and note in mind, I was swayed to go this route instead. :)
The Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, a classic American “muscle car,” is billed as the fastest street-legal Camaro ever built at the factory. Offered exclusively as a coupe, it is named after an iconic race-bound version of the first-generation Camaro that packed 290 horsepower, an impressive amount in the late 1960’s….this being a ‘69.
That’s the extent of my knowledge about this car, which was only done by some quick research. So, if you have any questions, please refer them to one of the known car guys…I will be completely useless otherwise. There are a couple of WS pictures as well, one of which shows the engine.
I realize this wasn’t the best direction to be shooting, but the car was a bit dirty from the road salts used during the winter, so I went with and angle that made it appear a little cleaner…which made the owner happy. lol
Thanks for stopping by.

Good morning Jason,
I can understand your notion with this "muscle" car photo, it is an impressive one. Yet, I like the longer POV on the WS.
Anyway, looking around with the snowy street view, one can comprehend why needed a really "strong" car to overcome weather obstacles.
Have a nice sunday,

beauty and the beast in one!:)
Beautiful car and really impressive when we realize its power.Like you wrote-a real "muscle car"!
I don´t know how others, but I love this perspective. It makes the hood looks so long and besides it provides great view of the surrounding area.
Well captured my friend!
Have a nice sunday

Hello Jason, very nice image here. I guess this old beauty deserves a shooting session. Good angle on the shot, it really looks clean.

have to admit, I have loaded a few 'car' pictures in my time but they are usually vintage models which, for me, have more character.
I have heard Craig write about 'muscle cars' but only had a self-defined understanding of the meaning. Anyway, with this offering, too, I looked up the meaning ... high performance vehicle!
Well, the way this car is scowling at me, I won't discuss it further .. don't in any way wish to offend!
It does look a mean beast!
I don't think any other point of view would have given it this attitude. The long bonnet (hood) needs to be emphasised.
The suggestion could be that this roaring beast of a car, with all its fire power and super heated thrust, has been responsible for melting the snow within the immediate vicinity!
Have a great Sunday,

You shows perfect the second picture with the engine of the car, this was a nice idea.
These Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 haves I never seen in Belgium
Excellent composition, nice captured.
Lovely old-timer and perfect presentation.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice Sunday,

Très belle Camaro. Très bien conservée aussi. Elle pouvait brûler une paire de pneus arrière en un rien de temps. Je constate que vous avec un peu de neige au sol dans ce beau quartier de Salt Lake City mais que le soleil brille.

are you kidding me? please tell me YOU are the owner of this beast! If so, I'm booking the next flight to SLC right now!
What a sweet ride, wow.
I'm always searching for either a 69 Camaro Z/28, or a 68/69 Mustang Coupe. They both have style and Classic's, they both hold the test of time to this day.
These cars in a great restored mint condition can go for upwards of $70,ooo, especially the Z28.
Ever watch the show "Counting Cars" on the History channel? they restore such cars as this, and they do an amazing job. They're located in Vegas. Fun show, fun people, sweet cars! I've been tempted to buy a run down Camaro or Mustang for $10,000 and let Counting Cars restore it for another $30,000...Oh if only I had the money!!!
I can go on and on about this car...but i won't bore you to death. The Camaro first appared on the scene in '67. To show you the popularity of the Z28...in its first production year only approx 200 Z/28's were produced.
Two years later, for this model year, in 69' there were over 20,000 Z/28's built!
I have to wipe the drool off of my face...thanks

I have to say, I love this angle and its a shot I would expect to see in a car fan magazine, as it makes the car look incredible, and has such a cool backdrop too. Piles of snow and a very fascinating sky. The glint of sun from the roof of the car and the bonnet is absolutely perfect.
This is a fine machine, and one that would certainly make me stop and stare on the street! We don't see many American cars in Ireland (although one of my neighbours does own an old white Cadillac), so this is a real eye catcher. Your framing of the scene with this black border is the icing on the cake.
Class shot, love the car and the shot!

This '69 Camaro is a beauty. You managed to get an excellent photo even against the sky, TFS!
PS. I don't mind a bit of dirt on cars, real muscle cars should be muddy (but not dusty).

Excellent close-up photo of this famous car. Chevrolet Camaro was a car of my dreams when I was very young. I was always impressed of its shape and engine power. Superb photo in excellent light, nice that you have also included the nice houses in background. All well arranged in portrait format.
Wish you a very nice week ahead.

Bravo!
Bonne semaine mon ami!

Excellent shot with really good persepcive and depth. I won't go into details about the quality. What I like most about it that infuse a charactor and personality to the car. An older guy with a tough demenor in a not so comfortable envirment, thus show the strong personality.

a great composition that has exalted the style and dynamism of the car and made the most of all the transient features the scenery and the moment of capture provided. I like very much the graphical effect of the shapes, definition and colours and how the background is interesting but not distracting; the way it opens up creates good balance. The textures make a strong contribution to the fascination of the viewer. I also like the powerful light and discreet colours as well as the range of lighting, from the shadow in the immediate foreground to the overwhelming glow in the sky above. The workshop pictures are very attractive and interesting too. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,
