Glen Ellis Falls is a popular tourist attraction in the White Mountains, reached after a short hike. It's a beautiful waterfall, but I was more interested in the Glen Ellis River from above the falls, as it rushed to the precipice. I loved the narrow window to beautiful yellow foliage on the hillside in the distance.
I got lucky with the light, as the sun bathed the distant hillside but kept the river in shadow, allowing me to pull off the longer exposure with nice light on the leaves.

J'aime ce torrent qui mène le regard vers la lumière et les couleurs cuivrées en fond.
I like this torrent which leads the eye to the light and the coppery colors of the background.

Colour, light and contrast excellent, good together in a successful picture.

I came across your portfolio when I noticed that your image of Venice and mine had been "twinned" HERE. I must say, I like what I see, but have contented myself with commenting on this, your latest posting. You had the foresight (and energy) to lug your tripod up to this location, and it's certainly paid off, allowing a long shutter speed to blur the water. You're right about the splash of colour in the distance: it certainly lifts the shot from good to great!

What a super capture of this river scene in the White mountain. Love the colours, great light, super Pov, and well managed. Fantastic looking through to the background gorge.

Wonderful compo. I just love the long exposure in here, the texture of the water and the vibrance of the whole image. Perfectly exposed. Great work!
