The West Thumb Geyser Basin is next to the Yellowstone Lake, which has few geysers but is outstanding for its scenic setting and beautiful hot springs. This hot spring is Abyss Pool. It looks like a giant piece of green gemstone on the ground from the picture. But it’s pretty deep if you see it in person.

You were right, Colmar is near the German border.
Fabulous turquoise pond, mingled with orange acid, created by volcanic residues of the geyzer activity.
Marvelous nature's wonder, collected beautifully.
Nice week ahead,

Nice colors for this great YS basin
The framing is a little tight but that's not a big deal here ;)

già il luogo opve l'hai ripresa è sininimo di grande bellezza, ma questa tua si nota per la perfetta composizione e per i colori straordinari che offrono sia le acque che l'ambiente che le circonda.
Una unione supportata da un cielo di grande effetto.
Complimenti. Una bellissima foto.
Ciao e buon inizio di settimana

An attractive composition in different horizontal layers showing a larger area in the famous national park and with this remarkable green Abyss Pool as main subject on the foreground.
A bit further the water gets a brownish red colour.
Excellent capture of an exceptionally beautiful piece of nature.
Best regards, Paul

Marvellous photo. The perfectly lit basin is the main focal point of this photo. There is a great use of depth of field to hold the viewer in the foreground basin as well as trees and mountains in BG, and the excellent lighting conditions have allowed for very good color saturation. The overall impact is very strong. Very well done.

What a striking nature beauty - Lovely mood to the image with a crystal clear emerald green colour of the pool as centre of attraction which I can only assume is the way it was. The crop works well, the light is subtle with interesting layers of colors including the outstanding cloud formation of a fantastic natural scene with great sense of depth and space vastness. It's delicate and very pretty. Great shot, TFS
