This is the highlight of the Albuquerque Aquarium, a 285,000 gallon shark tank with a 38 foot wide and 9 feet tall viewing window. There are five shark species for viewing: Sandiger, Sandbar, Blacktip, Nurse, and Zebra sharks. A bonus inside is also the large sea turtles - Loggerhead, Kemp's Ridley, and Hawksbill.
The stated mission of the Aquarium is to educate the public about the world oceans and the animals that live within.

Nice view of the sharks in the aquarium. The rays of light filtering through the turbid water looks heavenly.

Terrifying creatures, but very beautiful nonetheless, and this is a great capture. I have tried to shoot at aquariums before, but the glass always reflects too badly to get a decent shot, but you managed to overcome that really well here. I agree about the light too, that looks very magical in this scene.
I wonder does one of the bad guys from a James Bond movie has his office above this tank?
Have a good weekend

Hi Ray,it's always very difficult to take pics like this beacuse the low light and the glass, your result is very very good despite the fast mouvement of sharks too,i tried many times me too but...ehehee....have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

I love the clean lines and contours of these marvellous creatures - from a distance of course. The blue colours and those rays of light are so striking and really accentuate the impact of the image. Top shot.
Have a good Sunday
