Another scanned image to end the series on Niagara Fall.
Shot was taken on board a tour boat famously known as ‘Maid of the Mist’ which is so aptly named providing a great opportunity to have another thrilling adventure of a life time by getting so close to the falls at the bottom into the dense mist of spray inside the curve of the Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side. it's so fascinating to watch the boat against the sheer power of the water off the falls and this image shows just the boat was approaching the closest point. It seems to have an almost David vs Goliath feel to it.
The falls is massive, words do it no justice. The force with which it falls, the spray and white water looks like you walked right into a blizzard. The giant wall that appears before the eyes as the boat gets really close and turns, is almost frightening but it is also mostly awe inspiring. The indescribable roar of the Falls as it drops 65 meters down is so deafening, at one point I could not hear anyone speaking, at this point is where you will definitely get drenched whether you go to the upper deck of the boat or stay at the lower level. Any loosen or untightened ponchos will be blown off by the wind!!
It was fantastic, a superb unforgettable experience and you can judge by the photo to have a good idea of the perspective offered by the Maid of the Mist......

Complimenti! Una documentazione di altissimo livello.
Ciao e buona serata

I guess they wouldn't bring tourists here all the time unless it was pretty safe, but it looks rather frightening and unplesant. No doubt this is a tremendous experience and your photo makes this totally clear to everyone. We just miss the noise, but your description of it makes me convinced.

Looking at your photo I feel that I'm there. A very good POV. Yes the perspective is excellent. I suppose such excursion is a bit dangerous. This waterfall and the waves look really dangerous!
All the best,

spectacular capture indeed. I had the pleasure to be on this boat but my photos were not that impressive. I like how you have included two layers of people providing a better feeling of scale. The effect is stunning, the falls very impressive indeed.

I love the poetic names given to the various parts of this amazing site. Your picture offers the closest impression one can have of the real experience through a photo. The perspective and the depth are fascinating, the people huddled together aboard while passing through this marvellous scenery offer such a great reference. I love the moody colours and the rough textures, the dynamism and mystery of the view ahead. Truly exciting and captivating, congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,

This photo brings back memories. Many years ago I rode the "Maid of the Mist", but I did it in October. The falls were already freezing, and we were hit by pellets of ice! With this POV, we feel like we are also on the boat with you, getting closer to the roaring water. There is definitely a lot of mist, and the water looks rough. Very nice clarity and colors for a scanned image, too.

An interesting, unusual perspective on the falls. Wonderful saturated blues and greens in the foreground against the essentially gray background. Really well done. Thanks.
