The Old Sacramento "Gold Rush Festival" continues today and ends tomorrow, the last day of Labor Day Weekend, celebrating Americas' working people.
In this view, is one of the many horse drawn wagons available to the public for rides. In the background is the Sacramento Southern Pacific Railroad station building, which also has train rides for the public.
Also of note, are the original 19th century cobblestones underneath the wagon.

I don't think there are any wagon like this being used in my area, not even in Williams, AZ, they have modern horse carriages on the street instead of old western wagons. Nice capture of this old wagon with good details. Well done, tfs.

Hi dear Ray
So fantastic postcard in natural and casual style.
Seeming like one secne from film otherwise feeling like a time slip to the old times. Great composition and very effcetive color touch in perfect framework.
Sharp and clear image as usual as perfect.
Thanks a lot and have a good new week! Takero

Howdy Ray, that picture taken at the gold rush festival reminds another time, the scenes we can see in western movies, the black horse looks like strangely a donkey (its ears), the light and the colors are excellent

A scene like the summons up a hundred films I seen as a kid, it's so cool to see the vehicles and this important period of time is still celebrated. It looks like a lot of effort has gone into recreating this period. Great shot, and perfect timing with the light falling on the wagon.
All the best

Nice western ambiance who reminds me the film Paint your wagon with Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood in 1969

And the banjo sound as a music background for this scene. Well done, Ray, excellent presentation of the legendary Sacramento. Just a spirit of the old good Wild West. Thanks!
Greetings from Russia!

This must be a fun event for Sacramentans. It was a good day for it, too, with blue skies - but wait, we're talking about CA, not western PA; of course, it'll have blue skies. Thanks for sharing the fun!
