Photographer’s Note
This was shot early in the morning in the south Puget Sound area. I used my wide angle lense and held it just above the waters surface. What you see here is a walking ramp that goes down to a dock with a small rowboat turnded upside-down on the dock.
I adjusted my hue/sat, curves and brightness/contrast to get my final result. Hope you like it!

Welcome to TE Chris. I love this shot! The composition, the contrast, everything about it is great. Exellent use of the reflection. Very nice.

Without your note, I don't think I would've been able to figure out what it was. The thumbnail made it look like some kind of airplane engine without its propeller, but the full-size image was even more mysterious.
Thanks for startling me and making me question my own senses. It doesn't happen often enough, either here or elsewhere...
If your future posts show that same form of perception on your surroundings, you're going to see me a lot commenting your pictures, Chris! Keep on looking at your part of the world...
I hope you'll enjoy this site and its community as much as possible, finding surprises at least equal to the ones you seem able to provide us.
Cheers... ;-)

I like this shot, the mirror effect and the angle youve chosen on this are great. However I am just distracted by the rocks at the bottom of this image, as it takes away the true reflection.

Good start with TE Chris! This is a different take on the reflection picture.

It's like walking into space - which fog often feels like - unusual composition gets to me really well graphically and emotionally (strangely) -definitely of the 'other world'.
Hey I nearly forgot - and a big warm welcome too!!

Hello!
I love your picture. It was hard at the beginning to understand what it was, only after reading your comment. I'm just an amateur but I can say I love the colors and the reflection in the water. It's so good it looks real, like something hanging on the air. Great!

chris,
i have to admit that when you see the picture for the first time without reading your note you get a little confused, i like it a lot. i like the rocks out of focus, they add noise to the picture, and the fog its just amazing i love your picture..
