The 124th Tournamnet of Roses Parade saw 92 entrants,
(42 were floats,) this year including a first time float entrant from the U.S. Dept. of Defense commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Korean War. The float is a replica of the Korean War Veterans memorial in Washington D.C. Six veterans rode on the float. The flower covered float cost $247,000.
The Korean War was "the first test of the United Nations' resolve to stand against tryanny in all its forms."(official rose parade program)
The memorial marks the 60th anniversary of the July 1953 armistice that halted the bloodshed of the war although peace was not declared.

Great image and subject, and thanks for your note too. I would have sworn this was some sort of metal sculpture or monument, such is the imposing feel of the men in the image. Great composition with the bade in bottom left, and a wonderful array of colour from the flowers and the blue sky. Really nicely seen, and some float too!
All the best

you have composed this very well and achieved some lovely bright and appealing colours. the figures are well positioned and really convey the sense of sacrifice suffered from such conflicts.
have a lovely weekend,

a good image presented in this composition. The slight low-angle shot works well and gives a nice perspective of this float, a good replica of the memorial in Washington DC.
Light and colors are great, the image has a high quality.
A nice work.
