Good Morning Everyone,
Last night, I was browsing my archives, as we had been discussing how quickly the two years had flown, since we paid our first visit to New York.
I came upon this shot, which I had taken from our hotel window. In the foreground is the Hudson River, with iconic skyscrapers in the distance, set against a beautiful sunset. The clock was such an interesting detail, that we referred to before setting off for our evening meal.
With the poor summer that we have experienced, this year, it is interesting to reflect that when we were in N.Y. the city was experiencing a record breaking heat wave. The temperatures were so high that watering stations were set up around the city. Now, that is an extreme!!
Thanks for stopping by.
I hope you enjoyed the shot, Bev :-)

A good day to post a NYC scene... the colours and mood on the capture are perfect for a tribute...
Excelent light and colours and a special composition very good using the left building to lead our view to the rest of the composition...Very good!

A very apt date to post this iconic New York scene of skyscrapers. I like the way the three towers recede obliquely into the distance; also the very attractive lighting. Perfectly exposed with excellent clarity.

J'aime beaucoup les teintes du ciel à l'heure bleue. Le rose se mêle parfaitement aux bleus et oranges et les reflets dans les vitres du gratte ciel sont superbes.

Most fabulous dusk colors, Beverly.
not always we, photographers get exactly what we look for - and here I believe, assuming your enthusiatic note, you managed to show the multitude tones on dusk.

Tosca and I were actually reflecting today on our holidays in NYC from 1 year ago! :)
what i like most about this photo are the super clouds, and how they look like a painters stroke.
the colors are great too, with a bit of orange thrown in there for our added benefit.
lovely shot and memories :)

un fantastico tramonto di NYC.
C'e' tutto per una magnifica foto: il fiume Hudson, il cielo magenta, i grattacieli e un'atmosfera particolare che solo le grandi metropoli possono trasmettere.
Have a nice evening

That is one sensational sky. It is very effective as the feature with the not quite silhouetted buildings in front and particularly the way you have used the nearest building to block one third and direct the eye in.the soft pink reflections on the windows of the highrises are wonderfully caught.
Thanks for sharing
