Photographer's Note
Driftwood is almost as common as rocks along the Oregon coast. This old tree stump reminds me of the fossilized skull of some ancient sea creature. Hope you like it.

I love this shot of the driftwood with the super view in the background. The color of the water is a nice contrast to the grey of the driftwood. The composition here is great!
Well done, I miss the coast so much, this is a nice reminder.

Hi, Don, Interesting piece of driftwood.. but there is a lot of interest to the background as well, to the point where I find them competing for attention... You could almost make a "portrait" of the driftwood/sea monster by cropping above the line of rocks past which lies the open sea--where they eye keeps wanting to go... and a seascape of that coastline with those lovely rocks and the beautiful water color would stand as a good shot all by itself.
Regards, Lisa
