BRIDGE (MIKE O'CALLAGHAN & PATT TILLMAN MEMORIAL BRIDGE - US ROUTE 93), (HOOVER) DAM AND LAKE (MEAD) !

In addition to what the city of LAS VEGAS itself has to offer, its surroundings has plenty of attractions too! One of them is the HOOVER DAM, in the border of the States of NEVADA and ARIZONA (in the BLACK CANYON / COLORADO RIVER).

In this aerial picture, a general view of that location.

I took it while flying in a small airplane, going from BOULDER CITY (NEVADA) to the GRAND CANYON'S WEST RIM.

Wow!!! what a great captured of this beautiful and impressive dam and the lake from interesting POV with great management of splendid colors, sharpness, perfect clarity, great DOF too. Fantastic aerial view, dear Neyvan, better than a GPS! :-) The difference of the water level is evident thanks to the perfect sharpness and the beautiful contrast between the blue water and the color of the rock. Considering that you were in the plane, so moving, I must say that the quality of this photo is simply amazing. Sincere congratulations!

Bonsoir Neyvan,

La longueur du lac donne de la profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue aérienne permet de voir les détails et les couleurs du reliel, du pont et du barrage. L'image est claire et nette. La bonne luminosité met en valeur la beauté des couleurs. Bonne soirée.

Wow, you got a perfect view of this famous landmark! Small planes clearly have the advantage of not flying too high. Perfect mixture of desert landscape, engineering landmarks of the old dam and new bridge. And the deep blue colour of the artificial lake. You couldn't have done any better even if you had hired the whole plane for yourself.

já havia visto fotos desta famosa barragem. aqui a gente tem a noção das obras todas reunidas neste ponto.as águas tem um tom bem azul-marinho. linda foto.

Bonjour Neyvan,
le Hoover Dam est sans doute le plus beau barrage du monde, impressionnant, bien fondu dans ce paysage de montagnes arides. Une photo un peu jaune mais qui montre bien les fluctuations de la hauteur des eaux.

Great aerial view of the famous Hoover Dam. I have not been here in a long time. perhaps it time I should visit again.

Love the combination of water and the arid land of bronw earth. Good composition and wonderful details of the whole area.
