Hummingbirds are birds that comprise the family Trochilidae. They are among the smallest of birds, most species measuring in the 7.5–13 cm (3–5 in) range. Indeed, the smallest extant bird species is a hummingbird, the 5-cm Bee Hummingbird. They can hover in mid-air by rapidly flapping their wings 12–80 times per second (depending on the species). They are also the only group of birds able to fly backwards. Their English name derives from the characteristic hum made by their rapid wing beats. They can fly at speeds exceeding 15 m/s (54 km/h; 34 mph). (From Wikipedia) Taken at the San Diego Botanical Garden in Encinitas, California.

How lucky to be able to see this beautiful little bird, let alone be able to take a superb image such as this! A fabulous looking little hummer brilliantly caught timely in mid air with the movement of her wings beating at something like 5000 time a minute! Superlative shot, Elue. The pose, the details and coloring. Bravo. TFS

I like this!- the focus, the movement, the colours, the blurred background. The bird is really well placed and you captured it perfectly. I like the movement of the wings. A good and not so easy shot!

This tiny bird had given you a fantastic performance, hover around the magnificent flower, sipping it's nektar.
Fabulous collected photo, grand details.
Enjoy a nice weekend,
