Fields of Blue, a photo from Texas, South

Photographer's Note

Late March and April are bluebonnet season in North Texas. I haven't gone out this year, but with the mild winter and extensive rains we've had this spring, it's supposed to be the best bluebonnet season in years. So hopefully I'll have some good pictures soon.

This one's from last year. My wife and I went well in advance of peak blooms, which was great: the blooms were fantastic but there was no one there.

Very, very nice spring landscape, great colours too. I almost can feel the natural essence of the plants coming from the field. Wish to lay down under a tree and enjoy watching the clouds passing along the blue sky.

A beautiful shot, showing us the fantastic colors of the spring. The blue- purple flowers are in wonderful contrast against the green fields. Also the trees are looking wonderful. Good frame. Great shot !

Wonderful spring composition with elegant lilac color small flowers in the foreground and re-awakens the trees among fresh green grasses in spring, very nice puffy clouds in the sweet blue sky.
Excellent presentation with good perspective to get strong sense of depth of field and perfect light management with sharpness,clarity and saturated colors.

this is a beautiful picture, wonderfully framed so that much space is given to the lovely blooms and the tree delicate trees have a splendid background. As you said in your info that you are a nature guy I can see on this photo. There is gorgeous shot of early spring blossom. I like the composition with field of bluebonnets in the foreground. Great colors, light and sharpness.

What a spectacular show! This isn't at all like the Texas of one's imagination: instead we've got a quiet and lovely rural scene. I suppose the Bluebonnets are the equivalent of our Bluebells, which are mainly a woodland bloom. The vertical composition adds a real sense of depth. Good shot.
