Fire art at Burning Man, a photo from Nevada, West

Photographer's Note

This is one of the firey art installations on the Playa at Burning Man. Mad European Concertina music played while this huge metal cage swung round full of hot metal coals that spilled ash everywhere. Health & Safety doesn't exist at Burning Man :D I like the silhouette of the man watching on the right.

Hi Rachel,

This sure looks kinda crazy but you have captured the scene and the moment extremely well. Like yourself, I like the spectator silhouetted against the light of the fire and the way the sky is filled with burning embers lifted up by the draught.

Perhaps it might have been a little better if we could have seen a little more detail in the crowds behind the fire, but that is a minor issue.

P.S. Just a wee bit of advice - try posting some more critiques on others' pictures and you'll find that you'll receive more interest in your own shots from others!
