I love the way the afternoon light hit this tree. This was taken off the PCT Trail at Echo Lake. Most of the trees there are hundreds of years old and most are growing right out of the rocks.

I also like the sunlight on the tree and the contrast between the harsh dry texture of the branches against the blue of the lake and the green pines in the background. Well spotted and good composition.

marvelous the shapes of this tree and its nude branches, the white of them created a nice contrast with the background. excellent vertical format catching the tree and the marvelous landscape ahead. TFS.
