I haven't posted a true architecture photo for a while, so today i'm having my fun :)
This was an unexpected treasure. We were walking back to our hotel room after a long day of crossing the city by foot, taking hundreds of photos. Then we stumbled across this office tower. The slight curve along its side, combined with its flat horizontal window panels gave it a super sleek smooth look that i couldn't resist.
Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
Thanks for looking.

I couldnt resist this building myself when i shot it
I took a more conventional angle on it but i like this one :-)
The sky works really well reflecting on the glass.

Hi Craig, excellent shot up to show us this interesting picture of the unique building. A magnificent view of the curved edge that goes to infinity. Good capture crisp, with good quality, good job, very well done. Congratulations my friend. Good afternoon and happy week. Tfs.

love the upward sweep in this superb composition. It is so effective and powerful at pulling you up to the dizzy heights. The light and reflected sky makes the the structure almost translucent. Wonderful imagery!
Regards - Brian.

Like you, I really like the pictures of architecture.
In this picture you have made a perfect shot from below the skyscraper, which highlights the base in curve, and we lead the eye to the sky.

The building itself is impressive, and you have chosen a super view.
The perspective is perfect.

Une belle photo d'architecture, bien cadrée avec une mise en valeur de la courbe aux lignes épurées.
C'est bien vu!

Yes, back to architecture again. Much less threatening - and not a single human being in sight!
Fabulous lines and curves make for a very impressive yet simple composition. The limited colour palette is also appealing and I love the reflections of the beautiful cloudy blue sky on the acres of glass windows. Stunningly sharp as ever.

vedo che sei sempre alla ricerca del POV estremo.
Te la sei cavata molto bene qui.
Peccato per il cielo che se fosse stato meno nuvoloso, forse poteva fare da migliore sfondo e da buon contrasto cromatico con l'dificio.

You're a good observer and a skilled photographer. The picture is breathtaking. The building seems attracted to the sky. You have the best use of lines and light. Excellent quality. Bravo.
Have a nice day

Nice one Craig!
I like the way you positioned the building in the frame, with our eyes being led upward by the line beginning on the lower right. Great verticality and lines. You got a nice, sky, too. :-)

Amazing piece of architecture. I like this composition with so many windows reflecting blue sky. Fantastic presentation.
As you know, i prefer older thing but I am looking forward to seeing (and capturing) famous Calatrava masterpieces in Valencia (in April).
Warm regards from very frosty (-20 C) Warsaw

Good Morning Craig,
Back to architecture, back to those sharp lines and minimalism. I like it enormously. Your composition, with use of thirds, is excellent. You have a keen eye for the effect of contrasting textures.
This shot, for me, has a great harmony.
Have a good day,
snunney (107513) 2012-02-02 1:04
The angle of view is well chosen to emphasise the geometric lines of the architecture as it soars into the sky so full of detail. The reflections of those clouds are an added bonus. Clarity is excellent.
dkmurphys (65192) 2012-02-02 1:27
Well captured detail. Impressive architecture, a true spectacular shot.
Enjoy the day.

Sorry I've fallen behind with critiquing. My external hard drive crashed, I think as a result of the TE virus, so have been a bit scared to use the site. I saw this on FB and loved it, so couldn't wait to critique it here. It's certainly in your style, I like the square framing and the clouds really contribute to the perspective. And of course your beautiful blue tones and luminosity are there as always. Great work, thanks for sharing.
Enjoy your weekend
PS: The wedding shots turned out well, but I nearly had a heart attack when I thought I'd lost them on the external drive.

Des teintes en symbiose pour cette composition architecturale dans le carré.Le point de vue était bien choisi.
josepmarin (58359) 2012-02-04 11:28
a strong low-angle shot in this framing, I like the perspective that you offer us from this good visual angle, with which you have obtained a dynamic escape of lines of the glass front of this magnificent building, specially of the soft curvature of its base. The sky is beautiful.
It is a fantastic architecture photo, in a composition with an impeccable execution.
