Mission San Miguel Arcangel... a small wall with cross formation made of stones... San Miguel was founded July 25, 1797... this is number 16 out of 21 Franciscan Missions in California...
Notice the adobe mud brick wall on the left side of image, fabricating that kind of brick today is certainly a lost skill in the United States...
Photo was taken on a rainy afternoon... I liked the vivid colors of the rocks due to the rain...

Oh I love these colors. The rain and diffuse light must have helped. The saturation is great. Personally, I would have cropped to just the colored stones, and added a frame, but I like abstracts more than most. I suppose with the cross it is not really an abstract.
Just to see what it would look like I did a quick WS cropping and framing.
