Photographer's Note
The view from the 103 floor in Willis Torwer (Sears Tower) Chicago is really breathtaking. My attention was drawn to this red building that literally lay in the shadow of the 442 meter tall building, which since the name change in 2009 has been named Willis Tower. You can see the shadow of Willis Tower along the facade on the red building. It opened in 1973, and is the tallest skyscraper in the US. I had to shoot through glass to get this picture. I hope it has not influenced too much on the result.
Thanks for viewing. I wish you all a nice week!

My congratulations for this wonderful crop, I remember this place from where I shot lots of pictures many many years ago...In spite of the glass, you could get an excellent quality.

Hello Erling!
Very nice and interesting picture of Chicago!
Sharpness, exposure, chosen pov, vertical format, colors, contrasts and composition are all excellent features here and they all really pleased me!
The shadow of one building (probably the one you were in) on the red one is breathtaking!
TFS - congrats,
Cheers,

Hi Erling
this is something we rarely see...i RED skyscraper!
seriously...how many red highrises do we see?
I'm glad you added the blue water as a color contrast, and the green grass does the same.
love this scene.
have a great day!!

Hi Erling,
Red colour of that building makes it stand out next to grey masses. The shadow is perfectly placed and gives this extra twist. Park and lake makes this environment more human and also add blue and green colours to combination.

Hello Erling,
I believe that it's very exceptional to see such a large and high building completely in red.
The red creates nice contrasts with the green of the park and with the blue of the lake.
The inclusion of a part of the lake dotted with many white boats is an excellent idea.
Best regards, Paul

Una ripresa particolare ...l'edificio rosso e l'ombra al centro come un ago di un manometro .
La marina e le barche spezzano l'ambiente urbano dando atmosfera .
I colori ed il grafismo accattivanti

Hello Erling,
Seems like a faraway vacation this year hehehe!
Personally I am not fond of high places but I fully understand the temptation to get an outstanding view of the surroundings...
The shadow plays nicely on the red building, and my eyes are drawn to the marina in the background!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hello Erling,
nice to see your first picture from Chicago.I´ve also seen this red building,as one of the "EL"lines runs next to it and it really stands from other skyscrapers in the city.Great detailed shot in excellent quality.I´m looking forward to see more your pictures from "windy city".
By the way, what was your impression of Chicago comparing to other american cities that you visited?
Wish you a pleasant day
