Photographer’s Note
This picture was taken from Queen Mary boat on a sunny day but the sea gulls are resting in the shadow of their beloved queen. Queen Mary was the second largest boat when it was built in 1936 only second to French liner Normandie but now it's been retired for many years and used mostly for tourist attraction, restaurants and parties.

An original view of gulls, as we usually see them against sky or at least flying. The water is very calm which, I think, enhances its color in this picture. Also, it seems you were at a good height, making the birds very small. This may sound strange, but the shot reminds me of particles on a prepared slide under a microscope - a cool effect, in my opinion.

Yes, very original gull shot. Simple and beautiful, too. Well framed, the gulls fill the frame nicely. I like the slight "rings" on the water around the gulls.
Great work, Skye.

Original, unique and very artistic, too, nicely done,Skye!...I enjoy it very much. You had a fine playing with seagulls as a few dots in this attractive natural blue,4 in 1/3 of right,1 in almost center and 1 in 1/3 of left-top,it's a great combination which you captured and managed for this fine composition, well done,Skye.
