Autumn colorfully marks the end of this farmer's growing season... then it's harvest time. Fall in New England is famous for it's trees - the hills are ablaze with outstanding color!

The colours of the New England autumn never cease to amaze - you've gone one better by getting even more colour into this picture - I really like what you have seen here - I know you want to show off the shape of the hill but this photo looks great without sky too. With the sky as it is it's a 'real' photo - with a slightly more dynamic sky you would have had an even stronger image - I'd be tempted to at least play with this and darken it for effect. Some people are entirely 'straight' in presenting work - all work - personally I set the rules differently at different times for different purposes and see no point in limiting my approach in a blanket fashion. I respect the intentions of those that do though because the discipline of working to a rule allows for great images.
I find the colour of the trees just a little too 'electric' but monitors differ plus we rarely see combinations of colours like this in the UK....certainly not where I live!

Great photo, Jennifer. Your composition is perfect and colors nice and bright. I like the lines throughout the photo, from the tire tracks in the foreground to the line separating the cornfield from the trees to the line from the mountain to the sky. I can almost feel the crispness in the air. Well done! I posted a workshop for an alternative look - hope you like it.

The composition has nice flowing horizontal lines (hillock, fields, tracks etc). The red tractor adds drama and interest. Only the sky needs to be cut a bit. Otherwise a good, mood-evoking picture,

Nice shot here. Beautiful colors and I like the layered composition. The sky looks a little odd in that there is no color there at all and things look a little oversharpened too, but a very pleasing shot overall.

Very well seen, Jennifer! Lovely combination of colours and layers and the graphic impact of the tractor is great. I might have laid off the saturation a little, but I like it a lot. I can't decide whether I'd crop out all the sky - problem with that is we'd lose the lovely line of the hilltop.

What I like the most are the colors. They are really nice.
I am not sure about the truck but, it makes a good compo.

Nice compo,Jennifer.I like it how the red color of the tractor finds a lot of repeatings in the red leaves of the autumn trees on the hill.Very well seen and composed!

Another fine coloured one !
The different layers from the bottom to the top, the tractor, grain, beautiful trees and the hill, it's a fantastic view, nice seen, Jennifer !

I'm enjoying wintertime now (see my winterpics), but seeing this great colours I'm looking forward already to the more colourfull seasons. Great pic with good contrast and good perspective thanks to the tractor in the front.

outstanding composition. i tend to agree with anil... it would be stronger with less (maybe no) sky... but, i'm so in love with your work right now i'm havig a hard time being critical.
