Photographer's Note
Taken at Jamaica Pond, in the Jamaica Plain section of Boston. The time was after sunset, but still with some light in the sky, which is dimly reflected by the ice on the pond. The birds are Canada geese, which are now common in Boston parks. The bird at the left is standing guard, keeping vigil in the gathering dark.
