grand sunrise, a photo from Arizona, West

Photographer's Note

My car was frozen and in the parking lot there were few deers running around when I started my drive to see the sunrise at the Yavapai Point of Grand Canyon. Previously I visited the more remote North Rim so this time I have chosen South Rim of the Grand Canyon.
I wasn't alone on the road: the deers took over the park for the night time so I had to drive very carefully...

I see plenty of room for improvement of this shot now, but I was so cold waiting for the sunrise: I did not feel my fingers. So I admire guys who are patient enough to create spotless work.

Yes it is an HDR from three shots (-2, 0, +2).
ND grad filter helped to catch the clouds as they really were: very dramatic, but obviously it did not prevent a part of the sky from burning.

Bravo pour le courage d'affronter le froid et pour le résultat obtenu. Le HDR a été judicieusement employé pour déboucher les ombres des contre-jours. Le résultat est époustouflant. Belles couleurs et beau graphisme !

really great the sunrise over Grand Canyon from the Yavapai point.I like the colour tints of the sky as the colours that the rock are 'paint'. A surrealistic shot.

The HDR has allowed the texture and colour of the rocks to show and the sun was caught at just the right moment. The white sky is not at all distracting and I'm sure wouuld have been a lot worse without the grad ND filter. Nicely done.

This is one of a brand of photos on TE which I jokingly refer to as "disgustingly good". I like your use of HDR - it achieves it's aim without looking unreal.

I might reduce the red/magenta slightly, but then maybe that is adding to the atmosphere which I like so much?

That's a real great sunset, setting the rocks literally on fire. The color hues are amazing, excellent composition and execution. Congrats.

Thanks for your critique of my shot from Murni beach in Yan. The city has not done real development work at this beach, what perhaps is better then do too much. So it looks a bit empty, the reason I shot this scene were the clouds at the horizon.

It is a photo at sunrise time really spectacular, because of the beauty of the light of the Sun between the clouds, and to the wonderful landscape of the Grand Canyon.
The HDR has worked perfectly in this capture, and has given a photographic final result absolutely beautiful.

Ten obraz jest po prostu rewelacyjny. Wspania³y zachód , bardzo ekspresyjny nad prze¶licznym i imponujacym Wielkim Kanionem. Kolory i ¶wiat³a s± niesamowite, niebo apokaliptyczne.

This is a spectacular scene, the sun glinting over the massive rocks, and the depth in that distance all make this a very wow shot. THe light from the sun is placed beautifully, and the way the sky is dark, but the mountains lot shows everything off beautifully. Really nice
