Agnieszka´s NYC exhibition opened Photo

Photographer’s Note

One of the best, no, in my opinion the BEST photo series posted on Trekearth, the work of Agnieszka on Chassids returning every year to the graves of their spiritual leaders, was presented at the Lamar Mansion in New York City. I had the chance to visit the opening on thursday.

With more than 200 visitors at the opening it was a great success. Congratulations, Agnieszka, and all my compliments.

Molto bella questa figura che sembra spuntare fuori dal quadro! Mi picciono molto la luce ed il croma con i toni sui gialli sabbia che si intonano bene con i capelli della donna! Bellissimi il taglio e la composizione!

The portrait is intense, like a stone before it is polished, brutally beautiful. There is so much strength in her expression, and the composition, with the wall that enclose her with tension, is skilful too. The light and the woman, both resplendent with a cascade of wild hair ... that's very charming. Congratulations.

Lieber Christian ... ein spezielles Portrait der Kuensterlin ... wow Du warst vor Ort in New York City. Das haette ich auch gerne miterlebt, ihre Bilder sind sackstark und sie gehoert sicher zu den Grossen hier auf TE, keine Frage. Ich habe hie und da ihre Bilder bewundert und auch kommentiert. Ein Privileg, dass wir diesen exklusiven Einblick in diese Welt erhalten, durch Agnieszka. Beste Gruesse + schoene Woche ... Barbara.

Is it only my private obsession to see myself in slight different way than others do, even when they do it with such a prefect lens and kind eye as you do Chris?:) Attached please find the WS I made on the basis of your, let's call it "breakfast" (was made at breakfast), photo.. I made myself much more complicate than you did.. a little angel a little devil.. thiner, darker.. dreams:)
The most popular authors claim that the "good" portrait" must be "flattering" portrait.. not many models accept the truth. For that reason Ignacy Witkiewicz, famous POlish painter, writer, always lifted the price of portraits - as much he had to change the most expensive it was.. Life.. as difficult you are..:))

Thank you for the kind review of the exhibition Chris.. seeing it from a few days distance I understand that event was enormous success on many fields. Happy you've been there, TE eye-witness:)

I tried to photography Agnieszka, but it wasn't very easy ;))). We were busy an we were talking all time, and her daughter was with us...Agnieszka is beatiful but rather shy to posing spontanousely...and she was wearing shine glasses all time. So, I didn't arrive to a good and interesting result. So, my congratulations for this one.
I prefer the WS "Agnieszka by Agnieszka", but the material is yours :). Very good pose, and something of "gold" in your treatement makes this photograph interesting.
I saw your photographs from NY, and I liked them.
I'll be back to critique some of them.
