Photographer’s Note
I passed by this old courthouse when leaving the small town of Inverness and thought is was worth taking a photo. I had to use my wife's point and shoot but I think it turned out OK.
The yellow-brick 1912 Citrus County Courthouse, which replaced the original 1892 wood structure, recently underwent restoration under supervision of the Citrus County Historical Society. After peeling off layer upon layer added over the years, workers uncovered terrazzo floors and marble wainscoting. Transom windows that had been painted over and nailed shut were refinished and re-hinged. Old photographs of the courthouse gave clues to what the hidden walls, floors, and ceilings looked like. Society members and architects even watched old reels of the 1961 Elvis Presley movie Follow That Dream, in which the closing courthouse scene took place in the second floor courtroom.

Hi Asa,
The palm trees are framing well the building. The point of view is allowing us to see the de tails and colors of the architecture of the court house. The cloudy sky is giving a good contrast to the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Asa,
A very impressive and quite typical architecture where many different styles seems to be represented. The impressive palms outside can also tell that this not an "old world" building.
Kind regards

Hallo Asa!
That's what I call a multifaceted architecture. I like all these numerous details one can detect here. You have had a favourable light when taking this photo. Light and shadow make it nearly 3D. An impressive building!
Greetings from autumnal wet and grey Germany!

Hi Asa
I nearly got a shock discovering the picture and its location... OK this is Inverness Florida, not Scotland ;-)
A definite tropical style and environment for this descriptive picture, and no trace of Nessie !
Have a nice day JY

Hi Asa, interesting architecture of this building. It is quite similar to the one in Silverton, Colorado. Of course, teh surrounding and vegetation is quite different. Nice palms.

Hello Asa,
Two palm trees which bring a pretty key of exoticism to this beautiful photograph on this beautiful architecture which is integrated well in the landscape. This coloured building gives much contrast with its environment. Beautiful and interesting photograph, thank you for your note Asa.
With all my friendships and very good Sunday,
Jean-Charles
