Photographer’s Note

This is where I live — Idyllwild, CA. Idyllwild is located at approximately 5,500 feet elevation in the San Bernardino National Forest. We are about 100 miles east of Los Angeles and about 12 miles (as the crow flies) west of Palm Sprngs, CA.
The prominent rock formation on the right is Tahquitz Peak which is also called "Lilly Rock" by locals. If you are in Idyllwild, you are considered to be "on the hill."
Oh, I forgot to mention... The town (population 3,000) of Idyllwild is located just about in the middle of this valley.

Hi Chris,

I love the mist and fog, the rang of light and dark, the play of light on the foreground trees, the powerful and vast emptiness .. very nice.
