Photographer’s Note

This was taken while leaving the Kennedy Space Center
and turning onto the 405 - Nasa Parkway.

This was actually an HDR-processed image in color, but
somehow the effect was not right, so i changed it
into B&W and tried to boost the dramatic back light
just a little bit more.

As i mentioned earlier two Space Shuttles
were ready to launch. Space Shuttle Atlantis is
already back from its journey into space, but the
launch of STS-127 Space Shuttle Endeavour has been
rescheduled for saturday, july 11, 2009, 7:39 p.m. ET.

Excellent b&w photography, looks like a scene from a "road movie"! Great light managment, great composition and framing, amazing perspective and depth of field! Congratulations!

Kann mich noch gut an meinen eigenen Besuch des Space Centers erinnern. Der Himmel über Florida scheint immer so weit zu sein und das wurde in deinem Bild sehr gut eingefangen. Die großen Wolken kommen sehr gut raus und s/w ist meiner Meinung nach auch die richtige Variante für so ein Bild, da die starken Kontraste hier eher rauskommen.

Hello Thorsten

I like the evocative atmosphere of this composition. It has some sort of a 70's black and white feeling that i love : both joyful and nostalgic. I like the interaction going on between the white lines and the poles.
