Photographer’s Note
I think this is an obligatory shot for anyone visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which holds 35,000 plants and animals representing 623 species (source: Wikipedia). The graceful and ghostly dance of the purple striped jellyfish against the perfectly blue background was a loud cry to be photographed.
P/S: Found on TE quite a few very good shots of the jelly fish exhibits in the aquarium:
Henk Meiier (Floydian) has a very nice shot and note here.
Here is Yves Lavignasse's rendition.
This image was scaled and sharpened using GIMP.
Nobody has marked this note useful

Hello Seb,
It is funny, because when I visited Monterey, I took almost the same photo I presented also in TE site.
The look seems to be attracted by the same thing.
Yves.

Hi,
Fascinating creatues isn't it! I tried to catch some shots in the Perth aquarium but none came nearly as nice as this one of yours. Percet sharpness and light balance.
Regards,
Flavia
