Photographer’s Note
I went to THE WALL in memory of the soldiers killed in Vietnam. I thought I would find something from the past.
And this is what I found out: some 10 months later, I discovered that I lost something to the past.
I wish she finds what she is looking for, and would not have to leave THE WALL as a loser, like me.

Hello Thanh,
Great composition. Appears everything came together on this shot. There is a very strong deep message captured here. In my opinion I see the message being relayed by the reflection of life walking past the names of numerous dead - war is such a waste :(
Congratualtions on a very moving picture.
Warm regards from Australia,
Graham.

Hi Thanh,
so happy to see you again on TE. I love the reflection on the wall...on the several names of the fallen ones....the reflected profile seems to be a ghost of those persons....
I have been on your places last winter (vietnam and cambodia) and experienced what you called "floating misery" in Siem Reap.
ciao

Hello Thanh
Interesting concept on this image. Great capture of this woman in the wall. Your thoughts into this image gave great results. To bad mankind does not put more thought into it's actions. thank you

Hello Thanh
It's been a long time since I have seen your photos on TE.
I'm happy to find you again. Your photo is beautiful and full of symbolism with the reflection of the woman on the monument engraved with the names of soldiers who died in Vietnam. Best wishes.
Regards.
Pierre.

Hey,
After going through some of the photos and notes in your galleries you have posted on pbase -- especially from your (for a lack of a better word) awe-inspiring youth (great photos too), since you posted the link to your pbase profile in the note of one of your previous Beijing shots, I hope you dont mind -- I realize how symbolic visiting this site would have been for you. Wish you`d have found what you were searching for, but you know -- a lot of names on the wall ..
Be seeing you around.
