Photographer’s Note

This was taken while strolling along a trail in The Marsh Sanctuary in Mount Kisco New York.

The Marsh Sanctuary is a 156-acre nature preserve, open to the public daily from dawn to dusk. Several hiking trails are maintained on the property and connect to trails in Leonard Park and other local preserves.

Three parking areas provide access to the trail system and the gardens / amphitheater at Brookside.

A new nature center is in the design phase, we are looking for grants and other funding sources to assist with construction and management costs.

Hi, Angela. The shack stands out well against the green of the forest and is well framed by the blossoming trees. The grass in the foreground gives depth to the image. Maybe a little more contrast would be welcome.

This looks like eastern European architecture.
It looks very impressive in the green and contrasting gold high grasses as it sits in a lovely natural frame of spring blossoms.

Hello Angela,

Un décor qui laisse rêveur. L'environnement naturel est entrain de reprendre possession de ce bout de terrain. La maison va bientôt disparaître dans les arbres.
Une vue très pittoresque à la lumière un peu pâle.
Il faudrait revenir au petit matin afin d'obtenir une meilleur lumière car la vue est très poétique.
