Skagit Valley tulips Photo

Photographer’s Note

Each April there are fields and fields of tulips in Skagit Valley - about an hour north of Seattle. Cold, wet weather delayed the blooms this year, so there weren't many days to see them. The tulips are actually grown for their bulbs - a colorful sight.

What a beautiful picture! It called my attention on the gallery. The point of view is very well chosen! This kind of tulip is so beautiful! Here, our tulips have not appeared yet, but now their leaves are growing quickly. I think we will have the flowers soon.

Hello claudia,
I admit that I am not such a fan of tulips, which I find often unnatural with their vivid colours. But here they have been rendered in a beautiful way, fortunately without screaming colours, and the barn behind adds a wonderful element.

Hello Claudia,

Pleasing composition with adequate lighting and ample depth of field!
The color of the tulips are soft and warm.
The beautiful wooden house on one side balanced well with the trees against that blue sky.

It looks like Holland ...Some mountains far in the background tell that's not true ! I love the array of colors here , nicely composed .
