Photographer’s Note

Boone Hall plantation in South Carolina is the place where Margaret Mitchell got her inspiration for "Gone With The Wind". The driveway to the main building is a long and straight "road" lined with oaks dating back to the 18th century, when the cotton trade was the number 1 source of income for the south.

The picture was cropped to give it a more panoramic effect and somewhat sharpened. I also had to reduce it in size because I had to get it under the 200KB size imposed by TE.
