Taken near a campground at Sonora, California in the early morning. On tripod, no filters (wish I brought my polarizer.) The waterfall is only about 5 feet.

This kind of shot is certainly seen before, but here the long exposure (3sec! how did you compensate for that?) works exceptionally well! Perhaps because the waterfall is so small that the details in the plants provides a very stark contrast to the moving water?

Very well done,
miks

Very nice effect

Très bel effet grace au temps de pause !

The detail of the bushes is superb and you can almost feel and hear the water.

Good idea, It really beautiful and is well made, very good framing.

The composition and colors are both well executed in my opinion. I especially like the blur of the water. Well done!

A classic work, well executed.

'3s, no filter?' I thought, then I saw f22... No wonder. I look forward seeing pure digital cameras approach this versatility (and I will continue to dream of Canon D-series in the mean time).

Fantastic effect you got here!
Nice idea, well framed and very attractive bright colours...

Shots like this have been taken many times, but here you've managed to create something new and exciting. What I like most are the green patches with the water running between them. This is simply wonderful...job well done!

Great effect on the water, beautiful picture!

Linda C,

What a beautifull photo. I can't believe it's only 5' tall!! Thanks for making my day

Brian

This is my kind of foto! I like it a lot!
The expusure is perfect and those greens looks very good!

Very nice framing indeed. The water looks like silk almost! And the detailed bushes are great. Long liev the tripod. very beautiful!

The angle you chose really makes the waterfall look like it is very tall. I like the effect of the 3 sec exposure time, giving the flow a smooth effect. The colours are good too. Well done, Linda.

Very nice Linda...Very, very nice. I agree with you on the polarizer. The only improvement that I would make would be to go into photoshop and add in a little blue and green to the shadows and midrange. That would help to remove the slight blue cast. Then crank the saturation until it starts to clip. Then add a little bit of sharpening and you are set. I've got a sample I can post as a workshop but not for a couple of days. I really like this image. You caught the water just perfect. It reminds me a lot of an image that a friend of mine took in Oregon (my all time favorite image). Nice shot.

Wow Linda, perfect exposure and great details! Nice contrast of colors between green and white, well well done.

nice photo.
good work

Good control of timing and composition on this one. I like the very vivid green of the moss, and the otherwordly flow against it. Well done.

There's a surreal quality about it. There in the upper details I see enigma... Man, what a thing it does to my heart. I can almost "reverse" it, like those 3-d boxes you can see either way? Cetacean: Of or related to whales and dolphins. No WONDER this has so much power, fair Linda. Good show!

WOW.. What a truly amazing photo. To me it almost looks like phumes floating down... Lovely colours and light:)
