Photographer’s Note
Until this morning, this was the corner of Republican and Boylston.
OK, maybe this isn't the world's greatest photograph, but I just wanted to show the only bit of humor I've seen here today in one of the bluest parts of the one of the blue states.

So many people feeling blue tonight it amazes that what prevailed thus fare will continue for a bit longer.
Your phot shows that despite the blue there's always hope and humour. It is quite nice how you were able to capture this without losing detail of the leaves. Great angle.

Too bas that all united states are not blue... From Europe, this election is seen as a very bad news for the world...
About your photo, I think it's very good and I like your angle and the background. Well done, Mimi!

I can only repeat what Rockyboy said:
From Europe, this election is seen as a very bad news for the world... a shocking reality. A good event picture, approrpiate to the time.

As an event picture it is well thought, the close up emphasized what we have to see, otherwise I join the 3 others in their comments.

Well observed bit of humour. As Fred says, we're (most of the rest of the World) all a bit blue about that result. Wouldn't really matter if the US wasn't so powerful. I think a good idea would be a trading organisation of Kyoto signatories.

And that's why Seattle is one of my favourite places in the world... Thanks for capturing this.

Nice character picture for Seattle. Having moved in from South FL, I am enjoying the new (and a very fresh) feel of the area. I would put this one in my album.
