Photographer’s Note

Les statues du Rockefeller Center forment un véritable musée de sculptures en plein air accessible à tous.
Les deux statues les plus célèbres du complexe sont l’Atlas et le Prométhée.

Érigée en 1936, la statue d’Atlas fait face à la cathédrale Saint-Patrick sur la Cinquième Avenue; elle est dominée par les 38 étages de l’International Building.
Le titan, à la musculature exagérée, soutient la voûte céleste sur ses épaules.
Réalisée par Lee Lawrie et René Chambellan, cette statue de style art déco est la plus imposante du Rockefeller Center.

Rockefeller Center statues form a true open air museum of sculptures, accessible to all.
The two most famous statues of the complex are Atlas and Prometheus.

Set up in 1936, statue of Atlas faces Saint-Patrick cathedral on Fifth Avenue; it is dominated by the 38 floors of the International Building.

ah ah ! on essaye de nous péter le cou de bon matin avec un tel cadrage ! En tout cas l'effet est réussi car c'est une photo qui déboite comme on dit. Très belle lumière et superbe composition.

Rockfeller Center en contre plongée c'est bien vu avec les clochers de St Patrick comme deux tours supplémentaires. Quand le tout est dans une belle lumière dorée c'est parfait.

Excellent location for using wide angle straight upwards. Strong perspective where the tops of those buildings seem to try to reach each other. And that statue fits perfectly with sky theme.

rien à redire, la contre plongée verticale parfaite avec cette sculpture très bien placée pour joindre l'art à l'architecture.

Le POV a dû te coller un torticolis mais ça en valait la peine.
J'aime le dynamisme des perspectives et la lumière des buildings. Au centre, la statue de l'Atlas prend une dimension cosmique.

superbe la vue en contre-plongée, sous le globe, offrant cette perspective verticale que les sommets des immeubles et les pointes de l'église guident vers le ciel.
Belle lumière, qui donne un aspect doré aux bâtiments en haut de l'image.

Bonjour JB,

Exactement au même endroit, nous avons déjà eu la version d'André Roberge et de pas mal d'autre personnalités de TE... Mais il faurt bien dire que la tienne est particulièrement réussie! Nous avons non seulement la statue mais aussi une magnifique vue sur les buildings environnants! La lumière du bas sur la statue (éclairage puissant ou flash avec filtre jaune) est particulièrement bien vue.

C'est très fort!

I am enjoying my visit to your gallery very much. This is a dynamic shot - the POV creates a variety of interesting shapes against the sky and we are able to examine each style of architecture separately. The circles immediately draw our eyes to the statue.Great clarity adds to the impact.

Bonjour, mon ami JB,
la perspective et le dynamisme obtenus dans cette scène avec l'utilisation du grand angle sont impressionnants!!
Le résultat est magnifique et crée une composition réellement attractive à vue. Quand je retournerai à NY j'essaierai d'imiter cette prise, mais je ne sais pas si je vais réussir.
Un niveau parfait chromatique et une grande luminosité, c'est un travail excellent.
Tu es un grand documentaliste graphique de la Grande Pomme.

Un trés impressionnant point de vue, et des couleurs d'or métallique magnifiques. J'adore.
J'avais vu cette photo rapidement sur Facebook et m'étais promise de la retrouver ... c'est fait.
Je suis trés curieuse de savoir si tu a effectué un post traitement sur ta photo, ou si c'est le seul effet du filtre polarisant.
