Photographer’s Note
The category here should be "nature", of course, but for me it is much more "decisive moment". Let me explain why: We were traveling from Yosemite Natl.Park to Carmel and I was driving the car, when I became tyred. I stop the car to change places with my wife and she gave me a chance to rest a little bit. 40 minutes after that I was ready again, but she was loving to drive, so I saw the beautiful landscapes on both sides of the road and I took my camera to try something. I think that we were crossing the region of Los Banos, or nearby. I found that ox in the nice yellow fields and I did the capture with the car going fast as 60mph. 1/4 second after and... no more ox in the framing. Not bad. I think that my wife should be always the driver when cruising the wonderful California...

Zeca

Hello Jose,
beautiful shot of this rolling landscape. I like the contrast of the yellow fields with the blue sky. The dark brown road halfway through these yellow fields and the black ox right beside it looks just fantastic.
Best wishes,

Hello Jose,
Simply happiness travel with partner, good shoot to the yellowish land and sunny blue sky, it is just like a paint, distinct photo taken in a moving car, well done.

Hello Jose -
Funny I should see this image tonight as I am sitting in a motel in Los Banos, California. I will be passing this spot tomorrow heading up to the Pacheco Pass. A lone bull in the grasslands of Central California, this is an iconic sight for this area as cattle ranching is the major industry. Good light and good capture for 60+ mph.
FYI - the plowed earth paralleling the fence is a fire break.
Thank you for sharing.

Hello Jose,
Ha, poor Bull, not a cow in sight.
Very nice landscape, very graphic looking with the folds of the hills and that ploughed fire-break giving the dramatic colour contrast.
Excellent shot out the window, composition is perfect.

So simple, I like the plush hills, the colours - not too many, just enough to stress different motives here: blue sky, green hills, brown road, black oxe. Nice, really nice...

Hi, Jorge.
Rolling golden hills and a solitary ox (or a lonesome tree for that matter) are one of my favorite subjects when traveling across this state. No mistake possible : this can only be California. Perfect timing in catching and recording from a car in motion what in most hands would have turned into just another fleeting image. Great job, TFS! Have a nice day, I'll be seeing you.
Fulvio.

Hi José,
wonderful bareren hilly fields and great contrast with the eternal blue sky. The ox seems to be flown over from Andalucia and fits wonderwell.

Hi, Jose. The rolling hills of California offer beautiful shapes that you captured very well. They stand well out against the beautiful sky. The road going uphill and the ox add contrast in the image too. Very good landscape picture.

Faz-me lembrar Aragão, em Espanha.
Um abraço, José.

Hello Zeca! Wow this is one of the nicest pictures I have seen of these yellow hills. Your ox is the "tiny" thing that makes this picture outstanding, it shows space, you could not show it any better. Love the brown stripe going through breaking up the yellow and yes the sky, it cannot get any bluer, no single cloud to be found :))) This is the kind of pictures I really love, you show a lot without showing much. Excellent, I love it. Best regards, Barbara.

Oi Zeca,

Hello Jose,
I love this simple clean, not so cluttered with so many things image, it's just feel like being out in the big open space, the combination of color is beautiful, yellowish green or gold, and the rich blue of the sky, what a beautiful combination this is. The smooth curv of the hills and its shadow really give this compostion its flow and gentleness. the cow I can live without. Thanks
