Photographer’s Note
Water from the Ohio River, above, is being diverted into the Falls of the Ohio, formerly to shallow for navigation until the building of the McAlpine Locks and Dam. It looks surreal to me to see the river several feet above the falls, contolled by mechanisms to keep the river flowing at a steady pace.
