Photographer’s Note
I've was down in Browne's Addition area and decided to get a shot of this old house that was restored. There's a lot of neat houses and buildings in this old district of Spokane. I just noticed that ISO setting was 320.

This house is significant as a contributing building in the Browne’s Addition National Historic District and as the family home of David B. Fotheringham, a successful building contractor and community leader. Fotheringham lived in a temporary house he built next east while he was building this one. He finished, fittingly, in 1891, the same year he became Mayor of Spokane. After moving in, Fotheringham turned his attention to the the lot across the street to the west, where he built the opulent Patrick Clark Mansion, designed by Spokane’s best known architect, Kirtland Cutter. Fotheringham remained in the house to 1926, when Fay E. and Ina Dobson purchased it and converted it into an apartment building. In 1984, the house was partially restored and remodeled to accommodate a bed and breakfast.

Hi Jason,
Very good POV, you have really captured this old house perfectly.
I like the sharpness and the very natural colours.
Re your composition I would like to have seen a little more foreground to get a sense of the the position of the house on the block of land. Maybe there was an obstruction you had to frame out.
Very good capture.
Cheers

Hi Jason,
They dont build them like the used to and this one is for sure a realy beauty.
The vivid blue sky really helps to bring out the intricate details of this wooden palace.
The red chairs makes for a brilliant contrast here.
Most Americans now live in cookie cutter suburban developments and shop at cookie cutter malls. All that sameness can be very depressing.

Hi, Jason,
what a magnificent old house. I love that Victorian style. Wonderful clear color, superb detail and perfect light and exposure. The only problem I have is that it's tilted and I am anal about architectural shots having straight lines. I have done a WS to correct the tilt. I hope you don't mind. It's still a beatiful shot. Many thanks and warm regards,
Shelly

Good morning, Jason.
Truly a wonderful example of Victorian style, something I've always been very fond of. It all looks very natural, with excellent lighting and colors. That bit of noise in the sky and the slight lens distortion are nothing major and can be easily taken care of, like Shelly shows in her WS. Sometimes it's simply a matter of having the proper tools, then you can take care of stuff. Have a good day, buddy. I'll be seeing you.
Fulvio.
