Photographer’s Note
When you keep going westward in the US to find a place where you can settle down, the Pacific Ocean is the end of the line. If the restlessness doesn't fade there, then you have to change your life some other way.

The emptiness of place is really irresistable...
Excellent light management; darker and lighter parts are very well balanced, even in sky.
Compo of waves and sandy beach, couple and the quay is so classic but so attractive...
Have a nice sunday,

Hey Ken,
This is such a winter shot, the dark clouds hovering over the sea, especially in this excellent B&W version! The inclusion of the people not only adds the human element, but also serves as a proportional element and part of the perspective of the pier. You composed this shot beautifully!
TFS!

Nice composition and lines. The clouds moving in add to atmosphere of the shot. B&W is a good choice here too.
