Photographer’s Note
The further west you go in Golden Gate Park (towards the ocean), the wilder and less crowded the park becomes. On this overcast morning, I was on my way out to the Outer Richmond and decided to detour through the park, ending up at the North Lake, part of the set of small lakes (ponds, almost) called Chain of Lakes. Only the neighborhood folks seem to know about this one, such as the group of elderly tai chi practitioners who had set up shop along the path.
Technical: In RAW, set WB to cloudy, then slight adjustments. Raise exposure about 0.05; also raised Contrast and Clarity. In CS3, minor application of Unsharp Mask.

The park is magic. As a child, I used to ride my bike down all the little used paths to see wilderness right in the middle of the city. You've captured the tranquility here. Thanks, Judy
